These small discs of fertilized, sterilized, and compressed peat moss expand when you add water. Simply soak them or lay them in a tray of water for a few minutes. They expand to form a pot with the soil all-in-one. Either sow the seed into the pre-drilled hole, or poke a deeper hole for cuttings or some other types of seeds that may require more depth, let it grow, then when the time is right, plant the whole peat pellet with the plant growing out of it directly into the ground. Each peat pellet is encased in a thin biodegradable net for easy moving and planting—no need to remove it. The pellets give the young plant a very stable base in which to start the root growing process so you don’t have to worry about the plant uprooting when you water them like it does with some loose seed starting soil mixes. So easy to transplant too! These peat pellets eliminate the root damage and the shock of uprooting the young plant for transplanting—just drop the whole pellet into the growing hole after the plant has been growing and developing.

These pellets are made from sphagnum peat moss. They contain everything necessary to grow healthy plants. Lime and a special fertilizer with a low ammonium content are added to the peat in order to stimulate growth. It is the ideal growing medium. They are approximately 1/4” tall x 1-3/4” (or 42 mm) in diameter when dry, and 1-3/4” x 1-3/4” wet. The pH level is approximately: 6.0-6.3. Case of 1,000 Peat Pellets.
