Precision-machined, forged strongly curved bypass blade made of fully heat-treated steel alloy to offer a durable hard edge and lasting strength and durability. The aggressive two edged radii blade with “Evolving Bevel Technology” reinforces the slicing motion of the blade—makes it easier when cutting thick branches, up to 1 ¼” with less effort. The evolving bevel technology is exclusive to Bahco, and is the latest improvement of the slicing cut. A unique grinding profile of the blade reinforces the slicing motion and facilitates the penetration into the wood, especially at the beginning of the cut. This gives the user a feeling of ease, quickness and efficiency during pruning activities. The blades also incorporate a center bolt locking system for secure fixing. These heavy duty loppers include two integrated rubber shock-absorbing bumper stops which help reduce arm and shoulder fatigue and the jarring conclusion at the end of cuts. For comfort and safety, the sturdy and durable bolt-on lightweight, high-strength aluminum handles are also designed for easier work to help you beat fatigue. Since the blades are solid forged steel, as part of a conscientious maintenance program, we recommend a periodic wipe-down or soaking in oil to prevent rust and lubricate the moving surfaces.
