Bahco brand PXR-L2 large size ergonomic right-handed bypass cutters with rotating handle
This professional pruner is a multi-purpose bypass pruner with a rolling, rotating handle that can be used for a variety of cutting and gardening tasks for the weekend gardener with large hands. The natural wrist position of the special angled head design will reduce wrist and arm strain and allow any gardener to complete various tasks with precision. An ideal tool for effective pruning and cutting living, green branches, not dead wood, as it operates like scissors. (For dead wood, our anvil pruners are probably a better choice.) The blade and hook are engineered with a narrow head profile allowing easy reach into tight pruning situations and makes it possible for uncomplicated access into tight spaces for easy access to branches. Smaller design was engineered for easier handling without compromising professional strength and quality. Replaceable, resharpenable high quality, high-carbon steel alloy blade offers a durable hard edge. Long lasting sharpness, and lasting strength and durability and minimizes downtime from sharpness and other performance issues. Lightweight frame and handle construction for strength is excellent for extended use. The composite high tech handles include an integrated shock-absorbing bumper stop which helps reduce fatigue and the shock at the conclusion of cuts. The rolling rotating handle is designed to reduce cutting effort, hand fatigue, and blisters, and to increase your comfort. The high-performance slicing cut blades have an integrated self-cleaning sap groove delivering cleaner cuts time and again, and are powerful enough to cut through stems and branches up to 3/4 inch thick. It weighs 13.9 ounces and the length is 8.5 inches.
Replacement hooks and blades are available.
Note: This pruner is not recommended for smaller hands. The rolling handle is only beneficial if your hands are large. If your hands are too small to completely wrap around and grip the rotating handle, then your hand will do more “slipping off” than “rotating”–very frustrating!
Since the blades are solid forged steel, as part of a conscientious maintenance program, we recommend a periodic wipe-down or soaking in oil to prevent rust and lubricate the moving surfaces.
