Silky brand Pruning Saw Tsurugi 200 mm medium tooth straight-blade lightweight pruning saw with scabbard 7.9” blade, 16” overall length

Item #: STI-9017

Description

Meaning “long sword” in English, the TSURUGI is a unique tree saw that utilizes advanced materials and blade grinding techniques to deliver a durable, super slender “spine of teeth,” designed to cut hard-to-soft wood, even in tight quarters. In the prototype stage of development, professionals were amazed by the cutting power and surgical precision that this sleek new blade affords. You will especially appreciate its value when clearing areas too tight for brush axes or other tools.

Thanks to Silky’s creative team, the TSURUGI comes to market as perhaps the lightest weight, best balanced “big saw” ever produced, having no handle screws, nuts or extraneous hardware. The comfortable, 2-part rubber grip is held together by an ingenious integration with the blade tang. And as if the saw alone weren’t enough in weight reduction, each Silky TSURUGI handsaw comes in a unique aluminum scabbard that can be attached to the belt or leg depending on the users preference and has eight rollers protecting the entryway.

Silky really does make the world’s best pruning saws. This one is ideally suited for bushes: Short and straight for good tip control, skinny for fitting into tight spaces, with teeth fine enough for small branches, yet still able to slice through large stuff pretty quickly. Accessible one-handed, unlike a folding saw. Scabbard is secure (with lots of rollers) and short enough that it doesn’t jam into the ground when I’m working on my knees.
